This Privacy Policy explains how Nuvlo ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Nuvlo mobile application (the "App"). Nuvlo is a hobby and practice tracking app designed for personal use on your device.
1. Summary
Nuvlo uses a local-first design. Your hobbies, practice sessions, achievements, notes, photos, and voice recordings are stored on your device. We do not require an account, we do not operate cloud storage for your hobby content, and we do not sell your personal information.
2. Information Stored in the App
Content you create
- Hobby profiles, including name, category, goals, descriptions, and cover images
- Practice sessions, including title, date, duration, notes, photos, and voice recordings
- Achievements, including titles, descriptions, dates, tags, and media
- Activity timeline entries generated from your hobbies, sessions, and achievements
- Practice statistics and progress summaries shown within the App
App usage data stored locally
- Points balance and creation counts related to optional in-app purchases
- Whether sample starter content has been loaded on first launch
3. Device Permissions
Nuvlo requests access only when needed for specific features:
- Camera: to capture photos for practice sessions
- Photo Library: to import images for practice sessions and achievements
- Microphone: to record voice notes during practice sessions
- Notifications: the App may request permission to support local practice reminders. You can manage this permission in iOS Settings.
- App Tracking Transparency: if you grant permission, Apple may provide an advertising identifier for attribution measurement. Core App features work without tracking permission.
You can deny or revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Related features may not work without the required permission.
4. In-App Purchases
Nuvlo offers optional consumable point packs processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive purchase confirmation needed to credit points in the App. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
5. How We Use Information
- Provide hobby organization, practice logging, achievement tracking, portfolio viewing, and progress statistics
- Display your growth timeline and activity summaries
- Store your content locally on your device
- Process optional in-app point purchases through Apple
- Maintain App stability and improve usability
6. Data Storage and Retention
Your App data is stored locally in your device's application storage. Data remains on your device until you delete individual items within the App or uninstall the App.
We do not upload your hobby content to our servers.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information may be shared only in these limited cases:
- Apple services: for App Store purchases, system permissions, and platform services required to operate the App
- Legal requirements: if required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process
8. Children's Privacy
Nuvlo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Your Choices
- Edit or delete hobbies, practice sessions, and achievements within the App
- Manage camera, photo library, microphone, notification, and tracking permissions in iOS Settings
- Uninstall the App to remove locally stored data from your device
10. Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information stored on your device. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be made available in the App and will include a revised effective date.
